Student Fees

The District 57 student fee structure with respect to the following categories: curriculum, supplies and other fees, transportation, extracurricular, lunch program, summer school, preschool, and child care is based upon the fundamental belief that student fees shall cover the cost, or a portion thereof, associated with providing textbooks, instructional supplies and materials, and educational services. District 57 does not carry accident insurance on its students. In accordance with Board Policy 4:170, the Board shall annually designate a company to offer student accident insurance coverage, and any contract is between the parents/guardians and the company. Students participating in athletics, cheerleading, or pom-pons must have student accident insurance unless the parents/guardians acknowledge that the student is covered under a family health insurance plan.
