Flu Guideline Update

posted to:

District 57 continues to work closely with the Illinois State Board of Education and the Cook County Department of Public Health to monitor flu conditions and make decisions about the best steps to take concerning schools.

As part of our monitoring process, we will be tracking information on our school attendance lines. When you call the school to report your child’s absence please be specific about the nature of your child’s illness and let us know if your child has a fever over 100 degrees and a cough or sore throat.

Dist 57 Parent Education Parent Support Network

District 57 parents have created an on-line support network, P.E.P.S. Dist57, to support families with children who have special needs. Taken from their website:

"At our monthly meetings, we come together to talk about our children’s needs and our concerns for their well-being. We gather information from other parents and/or professionals.

Our goal is to support parents and teachers of children not meeting typical classroom expectations through monthly networking meetings.
