Information regarding Parent/Teacher conferences and Open House

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held at Lincoln in a few weeks, and although many families are familiar with Lincoln’s format for conferences, it will be a new experience for many parents.  Lincoln strives to meet the needs of a wider range of parents at conferences each year, trying to utilize our time most effectively and improve upon methods each year. Please take a moment to read information on our website regarding upcoming conferences.  Some families will receive an invitation for a private conference,  other families will have the opportunity to request a semi-private conference, and all families are invited to an informal Open House Tuesday, November 23, from 7—8:30 p.m.  Lincoln also encourages our parents to bring their child along with them to conferences or the Open House. Student-involved conferences can be very meaningful for some students, and I think parents will be pleasantly surprised participating in a conference which includes their child.  We are all in this middle school experience together, and I hope parents will consider taking advantage of this opportunity to include their child in important conversation about his or her education.
